I have very neurotic Aussie (Maggie) who literally runs around the backyard barking at NOTHING! She runs while looking at the sky (& there’s nothin to see) & does the same irritating repetitive bark. If a leaf outside should happen to flutter to the ground & she hears it from inside the house, the barking begins. She’s 8 years old so you know we’ve tried EVERYTHING. Even doggy Prozac but that just made her sleepy so that’s a no go. That’s not fair to her so we got rid of that.
After using the high pitched tone maybe 4-5 separate times, Maggie got the idea that when mama is holdin the “orange devil”, she’s not to bark. I’m happy with the legitimate, “don’t come in MY house/yard barking” but the unnecessary incessant barking makes me insane. And honestly, I don’t even have to use the tool itself anymore. I call her, she sees it, & she stops barking.
It’s perfect & has created a quieter household. And with 4 dogs total, that’s a much appreciated sense of peace & quiet.
But please, folks, be humane with this tool. All it takes is one quick push of the button (I do NOT hold the button down) & Maggie stops barking. I didn’t think anything would work for my dog’s barking. He is a Chihuahua terrier mix and very friendly. He loves to bark at people as they walk by, bark at our neighbors while they are enjoying their backyard, or bark at people when they come in our home. He barks as if he is talking to people. This device really works on him. I am so impressed. We’ve only needed to press the button a few times. Now when we say quiet and give the hand signal for quiet he stops barking or if he sees the device in my hand he stops. It works!

I used the device for a total of less than 4 seconds total to curb all of the above combined. My dog is a one year old Australian Shepherd/Bichon. I tried for 7 months to get him to stop to no avail.
